The Faculty of Engineering was established on June 27, 1987). As of today (June 2020), 88 faculty members are serving in 10 departments.

The Department of Computer Engineering
Department of Computer Engineering was founded in 2012, and this department will be admitted its first undergraduate students in the fall of 2020.

Our department includes applications of algorithmic processes encountered in hardware and software. In addition, we produce solutions to problems encountered in technological, economic, scientific and social fields.

The Department of Chemical Engineering
Chemical Engineering Department of HITU has started accepting students in 2000 in the body of Çorum Engineering Faculty of Gazi University and since 2006 it has been continuing its education as part of Hitit University.

Chemical Engineering Department serves with its competent academic staff and well-equipped laboratories. Integrating theory with practice, the faculty aims to develop analytical thinking, synthesizing and managing skills of students.  Chemical engineering mainly addresses major industry including pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food, polymer, dye, glass, alternative energy, fertilizer, defense, cosmetics and textile.  The program is the combination of chemistry, physics, mathematics and engineering.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Hitit University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department were established in 2012. The undergraduate program was first taken up in the 2017-2018 education years.

The department is divided into 7 sub-department, which are: Theory of Circuits and Systems, Electronics, Electric Machinery, Telecommunication, Electrical Facilities, Control Systems, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technique

The theoretical courses in the undergraduate program are supported by Electronic Circuits, Circuit Analysis, Digital Circuit Design, Electric Machines, Communication, Control, and PLC application 3laboratories established for students to apply their knowledge.

In our laboratories used in undergraduate education, there are sufficient and well-equipped training sets to improve our students' practical skills. In addition, in order for our students to conduct the experiments more comfortably and to obtain maximum efficiency, laboratory classes are organized by groups and each student will receive a set of experiments.

The Department of Food Engineering
Department of Food Engineering was founded in 2006, admitted its first undergraduate students in the fall of 2009. Our department uses multi-disciplinary approach that apply modern science and engineering concepts for the production, processing, packaging and distribution of food products.

Food engineering combines disciplines like biology, chemistry, and physics to improve the quality food products. Food engineering has an essential role to sustain safe, secure, nutritious, and cost-effective food production. To reach this goal, composition of different type of foods, their physical, biochemical and microbial characteristics should be known as well as processing and technological properties.

The Department of Industrial Engineering
The Department of Industrial Engineering was founded in 2006, admitted its first undergraduate students in the fall of 2019. The Department of Industrial Engineering is dedicated to educate its students to become engineers with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills who have a strong system-oriented approach.  Our graduates will have a strong background in core competencies of engineering, and they also have a sound understanding of management skills. Students have to complete 30 days of internship during their bachelor’s degree. During 8 semesters, our students often engage with industry organizations.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering
The department started education activities in the 2000-2001 Academic Year with 25 students. The secondary education has started in the 2003-2004 Academic Year. The department has seven laboratories such as Mechanic Lab., Thermodynamic Lab., Energy Lab., Manufacturing Lab. And 3 Research Laboratories.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Hitit University is home to several interdisciplinary areas such as mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, control, machine theory, manufacturing and energy systems. The curriculum of mechanical engineering is based on the core program, which is intended to develop student skills in analysis, computation and experiment, provide a broad overview of all engineering disciplines and develop general problem solving and decision making.
